Ergonomics Training Course – Ergonomics Assessment Tools
Ergonomics Training – Manufacturing and Production
Having been in the ergonomics field for many years allows our chartered ergonomists to present the theory with practical examples relevant to your field of work. We have trained hundreds of organisations in the application of ergonomics. Our Ergonomics training courses aim to leave delegates with skills to conduct ergonomics assessments for your organisation. This will ensure that your organisation can assess tasks that may involve manual handling, pushing / pulling, repetitive tasks, Display Screen Equipment and awkward postures. The HSE guidance on ergonomics at work can be found here: Ergonomics and Human Factors at Work
Ergonomics Assessment Tools covered
We aim to train the delegates in validated methods and tools to assess ergonomics risks which may include:
Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA)
Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA)
Manual Handling Assessment Chart (HSE MAC Tool)
Assessment of Repetitive Tasks (HSE ART Tool)
Risk Assessment of Pushing and Pulling Tasks (HSE RAPP Tool)
DSE Assessments
Ergonomics observational techniques
The application of the tools would be done both collectively and individually in the training session using real life tasks. Actual tasks conducted within your organisation could also be included.
The duration of the course depends on the number of tools that you require to be covered and ranges between 2 days and 4 days. Modules covered can include:
- Manual Handling
- Ergonomics in production
- DSE assessment
- Pushing and Pulling assessment
- Awkward Posture assessment
- Repetitive task assessment
- Manual Handling assessment
- Ergonomics implementation
The Ergonomics Training would allow your organisation to develop in-house ergonomics champions who would be able to assess manual handling tasks, repetitive tasks, awkward postures, workstation design and processes. They would be able to help identify ergonomics risks and implement improvement strategies. This would allow the reduction of musculoskeletal injuries and result in increased productivity and wellbeing.
