What is Ergonomics?
The definition of ergonomics: Ergonomics and Human Factors Engineering are a science that aim to understand people better physically and psychologically and ergonomists apply that knowledge to the design of products, systems and environments to make people more comfortable, safer and efficient – hence maximising people’s wellbeing.
Ergonomics is a holistic discipline which looks at all the components that people interact with and are affected by as shown in the diagram below:
